Dear family and friends,
We will miss the "traditional" Thanksgiving this year with our family and friends! Rick and the girls are at their schools for a "normal" day. But this evening we will go to a "potluck" dinner to celebrate Thanksgiving. I was asked to bring "green bean casserole" and a pie. Will see how the German version of the casserole turns out. It's always an adventure. We will be going to the Campus Crusade (Agape) Thanksgiving dinner so we can be with the Purperos and other friends.
I am sorry I haven't updated our blog for awhile. I came down with a lovely cold and just trying to get the everyday needs done around our home has taken all the energy I had. Thankfully, I am on the mend and not keeping Rick awake at night with my cough anymore.
I had a wonderful small group time last night with the 9th grade girls. We went to a "new" friends home that graciously hosted us to make pizzas in her kitchen. She also shared her lifestory with the girls which was so wonderful to hear how God has worked in amazing ways to show her His love and forgiveness.
There is so much to be thankful for! I am thankful I read "One Thousand Gifts" this year to remind me to look at each day and see God's goodness in all things! If you are in the USA reading this, enjoy your "day off", watching the parade, football, and eating all that yummy food. But may we all be thankful that His love endures forever!
