Our family had a day off from school yesterday (Tuesday) in honor of "All Saints Day" in Germany. What did we do to make the most of it? We went to feed monkeys and see a castle in France, of course! When you have a 9 and 11 year old you have to make it fun. Thankfully, feeding the monkeys was only 5 minutes away from a twelth century castle. So it worked to see both in one day! But before you see those pictures, here is Lauren in her fall party costume.

| Another family from Kandern invited us to go on this great tourist expedition. Our kids are thrilled to have "new" friends and have others to do things with around our area. The McKells are also new this year and come from Chillicothe, OH. So the "Ohioans" went exploring together in France. |

Love seeing the pictures of the monkeys. Rick does look a bit afraid. :-) I think I might be as well. I don't always think of monkeys being the nicest. So glad you got to go out adventuring with another family. We miss you all so much but so glad to be able to feel a part of the fun! Kim Starkey
