Humbled...

Yesterday, our family began school at Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany.  The Opening Ceremony was for all 315 students that attend the elementary, middle and high school campuses.  I had goose bumps as I watched the senior class carry in the flags of the 51 nations represented by the students that attend B.F.A.  How humbling that our family would have the privilege of knowing these students that come literally from all over the world to attend these schools.  We pray the students that have come from so far would feel the love of God, get to know Him more deeply and live their lives to glorify Him.  We also pray our family being here would minister to them.

The girls and Rick said their first two days were great.  I was thankful to be a part of the middle school opening day.  I helped serve lunch to the students and parents.  I am so thankful for the staff at the schools already and all their tireless work to minister to and educate our children.  Kaylin said she couldn't wait to go back today.  She said she is glad there are 10 girls and only 6 boys in her class.   Lauren has 10 students in her class including herself.  She loves the teacher and was quick to do her Math homework when she got home today.  Kaylin enjoyed German class today.  She said her Bible teacher tells funny jokes.  Rick said the students were great and he enjoyed getting to know them better.  He said he needs us to pray that he remembers every one's name.  He is busily preparing for school tomorrow.  He has more homework than the girls right now.

Anthony (on the right), our nephew is a senior at BFA.

A funny event happened today... I went downstairs to see why our dog was barking in the living room.  A cat was in our house.  I have no idea how it got in or how long it had been there.  At the same time a thunderstorm was happening including hail.  That cat did not want to leave our house.  Kaylin had just asked on Monday if we could have another pet.  I told her I thought our dog was quite enough.  She said she was going to pray I changed my mind.  Thankfully she was at school while the cat was here.  She would have thought the Lord answered her prayers.

Thank you for caring and praying!
